What is a weigh module?

Weigh modules are subassemblies that incorporate a load cell and are designed to be mounted to tanks, trucks, bins, silos and other applications requiring the incorporation of an integrated weighing system. Weigh modules are used to convert static loading applications such as tanks, or dynamic applications such as conveyors, into a scale.

Setting up the proper load cell mount and frame is critical to maximize load cell performance and maintain safe operating conditions.

Weigh modules and mounts increase measurement accuracy by ensuring proper load orientation. These devices naturally compensate for side loads, thermal expansion, upward forces such as wind, and other unwanted forces. They also improve safety by creating a secure mechanical structure for many industrial weighing applications including tanks, silos, and truck scales, maintains performance specifications,  whilst reducing load cell damage and plant down-time.

Weigh modules with both uplift and side restraint built-in, the installation of which only requires bolting the Weigh Module into place. In tanks and other static structures, the weigh modules mount under the legs or supporting structure.
